REMco provides crushing tests to prospective buyers of REMco crushers. There is a disposal fee of $50.00 per two drum sample. REMco uses a Model 100 VSI with 75 hp and VFD drive for these tests. This crusher can be arranged in both rock-on-rock and rock-on-anvil configuration for test purposes. For accuracy in testing, it is essential that the minimum quantity of material is provided. In order that the test be completed promptly and accurately, please adhere to the following test requirements.
- Before shipping material, issue a purchase order for material disposal. After REMco has received a purchase order we will issue a test number for your sample. Please contact Ms. Terri Dyson for test numbers.
- Minimum requirement is two 55-gallon drums of material, which is approx. 1,500 lbs. per test. If both rock-on-rock and rock-on-anvil tests are required for the same material, twice the minimum is required. Multiple speed tests will require greater quantities of material. Super sack shipments are OK, palletized plastic 5-gallon pails are OK, paper and plastic drums are not acceptable.
- All drums are to be clearly marked with REMco test number and a completed test data sheet including the party requesting test and a contact name and telephone number in the event we must contact the source of the material.
- Make sure drums are properly sealed and rain tight.
- All material is to be minus 2” (50 mm), if possible. Anything larger requires pre-crushing. Pre-crushing may done for additional cost.
- Material to be tested must be such that it will flow out of the drum and be free of excess clay, tramp metal, dirt, soil, vegetation debris, or excess free water. Materials deemed to be hazardous will not be accepted without prior consultation.
- All material shipments MUST BE SENT FREIGHT PRE-PAID. Collect shipments will be refused.
- After arrival of the sample and complete information, the test can be scheduled. No test date can be given without the complete sample and a fully completed Test Data Sheet.
- After the test is completed the material will be returned to its point of origin freight collect. Or properly disposed of for fee.
- REMco cannot store crushed samples after the test is completed. Assume that it has been discarded or returned. If the material needs to be held after testing, separate storage arrangements will have to be made.
- Samples shipped without proper identification and full information will be held for a maximum of two weeks and then they will be discarded.
- If the party requesting the test wishes to witness it, REMco encourages this; however, to ensure that the customer is attended to and hosted properly, these tests/visits must be coordinated with the REMco sales department.
On occasion, REMco will perform special tests to determine unique crushing requirements of special materials. These tests are performed on a fee basis depending on the complexity of the tests and the nature of the materials.
