REMco CRUSHING TEST SERVICES

Among the many services offered by REMco is its in-house test crushing lab that offers existing and prospective customers an opportunity to see how a given configuration of REMco VSI will perform with their stone. Once the test crushing is complete, REMco will custom configure a crusher to suit the specific needs of the material and provide its owner with the best all- around crushing performance for finished product tonnage, power usage and wear parts cost.

REMco backs its products and will provide a written guarantee for wear cost and performance when the material has been tested at REMco …  a unique feature in the world of crushers.

REMco provides crushing tests to prospective buyers of REMco crushers. The basic tests are provided on a no charge basis subject to the terms of the testing contract. Each test requires a completed testing contract. REMco uses a Model 100 VSI/VSG with a 75 hp motor and variable frequency drive. This unit can be arranged in three basic crushing configurations: Autogenous (rock-on-rock), Semi-Autogenous (rotor-anvil) or Full Hard Parts (shoe table/anvils) or special chambers as may be necessary. In order to have the test is completed promptly and accurately, please adhere to the following requirements:

1.

For an accurate test, it is essential that the minimum quantity of material is provided. that is, two (2) 55-gallon drums of material,  approximately 1,500 lbs. (680 kgs) per test. If both autogenous and semi-autogenous tests are required, twice the minimum is needed, 3,000 lbs (1,361 kgs). Multiple speed tests may require greater quantities of material. Super sack shipments are OK, palletized 5-gallon pails are OK. Paper and plastic drums are NOT acceptable. If in doubt about the containers or the quantity of material required, please contact REMco

2.

Before shipping any material, complete the Test Request Form (available on the link below). Unless the full quantity of test material is to be returned, REMco requires a purchase order for USD$50.00 to cover material disposal. The purchase order number is to be noted on the Test Request Form. On receipt of the completed the test form, REMco will provide a Crushing Test Contract for your acceptance and completion. After REMco receives the signed Test Contract, the  sample of material and complete information, the test can be scheduled.

3.

All shipping containers are to be clearly marked with the REMco test number  the name of the company submitting the material,  and the party requesting the test, including the contact telephone number in the event we must communicate with the source of the material.

4. Make sure all containers are properly sealed and weather-tight.  The standard test is for materials having a maximum particle size of 2” (50 mm).  Samples with larger pieces, but not exceeding 4” (100 mm) will require additional preparation, crushing and handling and will be subject to an additional charge.  Samples with particle sizes larger than 4” are discouraged and may be rejected.

5. All material to be tested must be such that it will flow out of its container and be free of clay, tramp metal, dirt, soil, organic debris or excess free water. Materials deemed to be hazardous will NOT be accepted without prior consultation and authorization. No exceptions.

6. All sample shipments MUST BE SENT FREIGHT PRE-PAID.   Samples received from outside the U.S. MUST HAVE DUTIES, CUSTOMS FEES AND IMPORTATION CHARGES PAID.

7. After the test is completed, the total quantity of material may be returned to the point of origin, freight collect, unless disposal arrangements are made and the disposal fee of USD$50.00 is covered by a purchase order.  A representative sample of the test results may be requested  according to the terms of the crushing test contract. This will be supplied, freight collect, in 5-gallon pails.

8. REMco has a limited capacity for storing crushed samples after the test.  These will be held for 1 to 3 weeks and then disposed of as they accumulate.  REMco takes no responsibility for the samples after the test.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. Samples shipped without proper identification and full information will be held for a maximum of two weeks and after which they will be discarded.
2. If the requesting  party wishes to  witness the test, , REMco encourages this.  However, so that the customer is attended to and hosted properly, these tests/visits must be coordinated with the REMco Sales Department.
3. Subject to availability of its  test facility, REMco will perform special examinations to determine unique crushing requirements of special materials or to produce specific  products.  These are performed on a fee basis depending on the complexity of the test and the nature of the materials.
4. Tests requiring de-contamination of the sample necessitating the cleaning of REMco’s test equipment, will incur a cleaning fee.
5.

All REMco test results are based on the information provided to REMco, if the Data Sheet information is incorrect and the test must be re-run, there will be a USD$1,000.00 charge for  re-testing provided there is sufficient material left over from the prior examination.  If there is no material remaining at REMco, the party requesting the re-testing will be responsible for supplying any new material that may be required.
